| I have been slow cooking a ham hock all day and will use some of the delicious meat tomorrow and freeze some to use in a ham and veg terrine later. |

Sounds delicious. I do a lot of slow cooking but in the pot variety, you know the same as uses a much as a light bulb. When we first moved to Spain we though we needed to eat everything Spanish but since discovered we just enjoyed our British food. We do buy local meat and fish though and the veg. It is delicious. We have Spanish as well , paella fish cooked in sauces. |

| The other half of yesterday's braised silverside with low fat chips & marrowfat peas.
I had a yearning yesterday for bread & butter pudding so I will be making one later. Very rare for me to eat puddings. As a kid we used to call it stunge. |

| Looks so delicious Malcolm. The biggest soft custard slice but only filled in a small centre part with a sprinkling of coconut. Going to my favourite patisserie in Playa Blanca run by a lovely Spanish women. I sometimes get a freebie as she loves my Spanglish |

| Roast lamb with garlic and rosemary cooked by my daughter in a delightful cottage the family have rented in Betwsy Coed in Wales. |
