No.... just use a veg peeler on the raw item lengthways and abracadabra you get lovely ribbons !

You are more than welcome..... I put avocado scoops on top of them and toss in olive oil and garlic.

AHAAAAAA .... "courgette" is pom-speak (or frog-speak) for ZUCCHINI !

Pork chops,(sorry sags), with roast spuds, sweetheart cabbage and carrots.

Fish curry with home made naan.

Making fish pie as I had left over fish from the curry. Topped with a lovely soft mash.

Rather a busy day yesterday and it got on the late side so we had a Chinese takeawy.  We will have yesterdays pork chops today.

Beef stew with sauteed potatoes.

We had lunch today at Marco Pierre White's restaurant on floor 25 in the Cube skyscraper in Birmingham. The 360 degree views of Birmingham are fascinating and illustrated how much Birmingham has changed (for the better) over the past 10 years.

The food and service was wonderful and I would fully recommend it. We both had a starter and main course with a prosecco to start followed by a superb Argentinian full bodied Malbec to accompany the main course. It was a tad expensive at £85 but well worth it as a special treat.

Sounds wonderful Alan and we'll worth the treat. I love the canals of Birmingham.

Birmingham has more canals than Venice. And they don't pong.

What was £85 then Alan.....the bill or the wine ?
