| 'Er indoors is outdoors again going to lunch with daughter and granddaughters. I will be having a Chicken Biryani and poppadoms For lunch I will have a slice or two of the terrine I made yesterday |

| Cumberland sausages with mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy.
Gravy made with a Knorr stock cube, Bisto Best gravy granules, hoisin sauce, ginger and turmeric. |

It does turn out quite thick and tasty Malcolm. Those extras were initially an experiment but it seemed a successful one, so they are regular ingredients now. :) |

| I always use stock cubes in my gravies and usually a dash of soy sauce and a sprinkle of garlic granules, but I've never used hoisin sauce or turmeric. |

| Do you manage to get the gravy to stay thick throughout a meal? I find it can be OK to start with but gets thinner by the time it meal is down to the last few fork-fulls. I've tried a bit of instant mash powder and this works to a degree but not entirely. Maybe it's the water from the veg. that does it? |

| An evening breakfast for dinner today. Bacon, eggs, sausage, black pudding, tinned tomatoes and bread to soak up all the liquid. In the past, I would have had fried bread but in these low fat days, it's out |

I thicken my gravy with cornflour Mart, seems to do the trick. |
