| Cold roast lamb today, with roast spuds, carrots and sprouts. Changed my mind,as it's such a foul and miserable day,I have decided to make it into a nice warming casserole. It will go down well wth some rice boiled in beef stock.

| We bought a pack of "vegetable chips" the other day in Tesco. These are carrots, parsnips and beetroot cut into chip shapes.
Thought of doing these in the Actifry with some cubes of pork fillet and having that with pointy cabbage and mushroom gravy. |

| Tonight: Skinless, boneless chicken breast stuffed with cheese and basil leaves, then wrapped in Parma ham and oven baked for about 25 mins. It will probably be served with fresh pesto pasta and steamed fine green beans. |

| I think the worst thing you can do with Parma ham is to cook it. All its finesse disappears and in my view you may as well have used a piece of cheapo boiled ham.
I remember a few months ago, Waitrose introduced this "wonder product" Proscuitto Cotto - cooked Parma ham. I bought a small pack - it was even more expensive than Proscuitto Crudo - and it tasted just like cheap boiled ham.
Sorry to be so negative, Irene, just my view. |
