Good Morning + what are you up to today and how is your weather

we have history with Mal and this site and now qualify to apply for transfer to someone - any volunteers? it cannot be an onerous job really and slow moving to begin with anyway then it is up to us all to find more members - this way Mal stays on the site in memorium and we can too!

beast Morty disappeared from this site before Mal did possible long time before and has not been seen either on other sites .............and now perhaps we all know what it's like to be closer to a dying star as it dies? regenerating these sites is hard work - means recruiting new members lots of them those that we know and have forged long allegiances with other sites - it's not easy not for the faint hearted - even we on this have grown fainter and fainter? I can almost hear the faint echos know

Davo - I'm afraid your memory is ailing as you grow fainter - so is mine - but I do recall Morty posting here on October 8th 2022. 

You are correct in saying she was also previously known as Sags - who was a joint founder of the forum when Malc was "removed" or retired from another forum of which they were both members and Malc decided to start this one.

Sags and Malc parted ways when there was a ruckuss on the forum when Malc banned andsome, there was a cat fight between some female members, I resigned as moderator and a couple of others left.

Some time later Sags returned under the new name Morty who you will find alive and occasionally snuffling on another oldies forum you and I are members of.  She is currently using a different pig avatar there

glad to hear he is still surviving - peoplel just disappear from the sites and are never heard of again - but I suppose that's how many prefer it heh ?

@Beastie .... yes, that was me. Sags .... and I think I did post some paintings I did. It was a long long time ago though. 

@Purwell .... IDF ... I'd forgotten all about them. I did register there. I remember it now .. their owner just said he was closing the original forum, end of...caput ... and they had to get their own lifeboat and they've been on it ever since. 

@Davo and @AlanHo ... a hug for you two too.   

the bigger sites can become confusing and impersonal the smaller ones implode or just fade away - I've seen so many come and go and wonder whether we are in the twilight years of forums - or maybe we are all covid exhausted and need a good tonic to get back on track - reminds me often of a big market place where we are all dashing in and out and about and just throwing in a quip or two? hugs for you too morty ............................you've all done very well keep up the good work fellows!!

inner city Liverpool a peaceful quite and clean place when I was reared!  we left when the teddyboy era began - mom and da didn't like it then and cheshire beckoned - and what a delight that was houses with back and front gardens ; fresh air ; scrumping but it split extended families for good!

OK time for a 'forums are good' synopsis! - been on em for years - in their heh days and now they seem to be languishing - OFF used to be good when the two old aunties tried to run it mags and megs but they got worn out and the owner came back in with a force and now IMO headache producing : trust levels abound ; good brownie points are awarded and people are treated like adults in kindergarten imo. many of my old friends have moved on ; step out of line and you will be removed

FPForum - nearly as bad but at least easy to navigate but quite ruthless mods all over the place who love to join in all the discussions and then close them down just as quickly - yes seen good members come and go

Buzz 50 - erghh - all the usual chat rooms for the walking dead ; discussion forums ; colourful layout and not too heavy on the mods ; private chat mode at a small fee 121 chat but not sure who might peer over ya shoulder ? lots of yanks ; few ozzies and lots of bots tryin to get in and sneak ya away to other sites to remove ya money and liberty

F3A social - small ; strongly brit ; all b/w presentation - just a few hundred members and only a dozen a day turn up but can be quirky ; often strongly politically motivated ; but appeals to the lost and lonely has very very low degree of moderation who imo tolerate a lot and for my time and money I enjoy the most atm

Murgs - used to be a strong contender - has color - and for a small site punched above the ring imo and you know the rest!
