OK time for a 'forums are good' synopsis! - been on em for years - in their heh days and now they seem to be languishing - OFF used to be good when the two old aunties tried to run it mags and megs but they got worn out and the owner came back in with a force and now IMO headache producing : trust levels abound ; good brownie points are awarded and people are treated like adults in kindergarten imo. many of my old friends have moved on ; step out of line and you will be removed

FPForum - nearly as bad but at least easy to navigate but quite ruthless mods all over the place who love to join in all the discussions and then close them down just as quickly - yes seen good members come and go

HIP a big yankie one mind boggling but does allow a high degree of flexibility and light porn!

Buzz 50 - erghh - all the usual chat rooms for the walking dead ; discussion forums ; colourful layout and not too heavy on the mods ; private chat mode at a small fee 121 chat but not sure who might peer over ya shoulder ? lots of yanks ; few ozzies and lots of bots tryin to get in and sneak ya away to other sites to remove ya money and liberty

F3A social - small ; strongly brit ; all b/w presentation - just a few hundred members and only a dozen a day turn up but can be quirky ; often strongly politically motivated ; but appeals to the lost and lonely has very very low degree of moderation who imo tolerate a lot and for my time and money I enjoy the most atm

Murgs - used to be a strong contender - has color - and for a small site punched above the ring imo and you know the rest!

no wonder us oldies are falling apart we can't even get on aging forums!! - I tried a few new aged jazzy ones a few years back and they wanted you to take on a complete avatar character and play stupid charades and games quite bizzare - so I suppose there will just be a few left for the oldies - the dating onese are serioously for dating and most of us don't wanna get dragged into that do we? once almost every village in uk had their own forum and that was good but again poorly patronized often. I've tried a few ozzie ones but people wanna come and stay with you and visit all the time!

Not good for me to take it on, I'm too opinionated for my own good sometimes!

Had a look outside this morning as usual and noticed a water leak from under the footpath next door.

I went back indoors and rang our water supplier Affinity Water. They answered very quickly but I was on the phone answering questions for 13 minutes.

Quite heavy rain here in North Herts, not sure about the temperature.

I'm expecting workmen to be here soon to continue on my kitchen and bathroom upgrade. They are all Romanian, very well behaved and hard working.
