Good morning -no wet weather promised for us today and perhaps some sunshine

Wet and windy here in North Herts.
7°C with wind SW at 8mph.

the tail end of our second cyclone that stayed off shore and didn't dump enough but at least the undergrowth is still damp. just finished watching series 1-3 of all creatures great and small which no doubt has its devotees and haters??

I was somewhat annoyed to see it ending with sigfried and james enlisting and no 'kids' in the series to their re-entry post war with james 'new' wife and two kids - never the same again for me - I suppose you can only take so many doggie stories?? I did visit the small town of thirsk on my one and only trip back to uk but for some reason couldn't get in the museum house? but we managed the big house on the hill 'brideshead re-visited'

opposite sentiments in OZ the 'big wet' has started - widespread from west to east and south to north and there is rejoicing particularly from farmers and firefighters!!  what man/woman cannot achieve nature can!

Coming down in stair rods here but not cold, about 7°C.
