Good Morning + your weather report

Good Morning - more rain today although it was not forecasted yesterday....the weathermen are useless
Up and at it even earlier today ... family coming today for the annual xmas visit.
I have prepared loads of food, I hope they bring their appetites along with them !!
My hands are very sore at present, but it seems that is usual for a day or two after the cortisone.

finally the best xmas present yet - all night monsoonal rains - everything got a complete soaking including my tool bag! - but I can now look out at the undergrowth and know it cannot catch a light - oz is a light at the moment and the PM has rushed back from his hols in Hawaii apologizing profusely much to the haranguing of the opposition party! and for the first time the PM has publically acknowledged the link between these increased fires and climate change - his daughters must have been having a go at him!

A great day with the family yesterday, what a delight to see the children running around causing mayhem and mess in every room !

Good morning - The day is bright at the moment. The family have arrived and taken over my time ..and the computers. :) They are out visiting others at the moment.

I'll probably tidy up the house a bit and mend a door handle that I've been meaning to mend for ages.

Other family will be here later but only for a few hours. It should be a quiet evening.

showers continue thank goodness whilst the rest of OZ burns - the PM is still getting a bit of a burning for being in Hawaii!

someone ran into a power pole in town and knocked out the electricity for half an hr - we do miss the aircon when it ain't on!

Good morning - Dry this morning and the leg is better, so a ride along to the allotment for me.

I think we might have to go into town this afternoon to buy the items we forgot on, what was supposed to have been, our last shopping trip before Christmas. I'm not looking forward to it.

Now it's raining again .... I despair !

who would credit it half the country in raging fires and we get daily monsoons - direct hit last night with lightning and of course thunder and no electricity at all for 4 hrs and that moons water p-ump out too that generates the water tank that supplies the main house and granny flat - woke at 11pm bathed in sweat with the wife thrusting the aircon clicker in my hand? watched the  call the midwife series on their trip to africa! that made me sleeping again!

tossing up for a xmas breakfast of either 'traditional mixed grill' or scots kippers, black pudding ??

Good Morning - Damp cold and misty today.....might do a bit of festive cookery and dinner prep for tomorrow.
I asked Mrs M how she was getting along with the Turkey preparation for tomorrow and she said "Well I've plucked it and stuffed it ... all I have to do now is kill it and put it in the oven"

That sounds good Dave.....I have some kippers in the freezer somewhere, think I'll dig 'em out for tomorrow's breakfast.
