| It is getting to that time now....I shall wait until the 22nd and put up some token but tasteful decorations and a tree.....For the first time in over 25 years, Mrs Beastie and I will be having guests for the festivities...An old Prestonian friend and his wife.
We are not the biggest devotees of Christmas but enjoy a sense of the religious connotations and appreciate the sense of family orientation and giving.........
However each of us regards the festive period, we hope that all and every one of us has a safe and peaceful time. |

| It is still warm, though a few dull and drizzly days are forecast before the weekend.....House painting is still ongoing. |

| thunder rumbling around last night but no rain - damn! I my have to water this am.. house cleaning starts today - can't make it 100% or the wife will get too many continuing ideas! looks like OZ may remain on fire for xmas! |

| I have noticed that some of the posts from fellow members are posted extraordinarily early in the day.
I don't normally rise before ten o'clock in the morning during the winter months, perhaps it is the lifestyle we have become accustomed to with the business we are in.
It is also the coldest part of the day until the sun warms the day up, consequently we never have any form of heating on until the sun sets. |

| It depends on your lifestyle Beastie........we rise early and we retire early and have done for many years. We are usually in bed at around 18.30 and read for an hour or so before lights out and sleep, and I am always up at around 05.30 and take coffee up to Mrs Mal who attends to her daily diary writing and any correspondence and also checks-in with her Facebook friends before rising herself and making breakfast...it's a routine that suits us both. Very cold but dry again here today, no rain forecast until evening  so maybe some Christmas shopping for us   |

| Good morning - Somewhat incapacitated with a painful muscle strain at the moment. I have to go to our son's place today anyway to see what might be wrong with his TV. I'll have to drive rather than cycle there. After that, I'm going to do nothing. Have the best day possible. :)  |

| Good morning - The leg is getting better and I might try a walk along to the doctors to get a prescription ..but maybe not too briskly. This weather doesn't exactly lend itself to being outdoors and active though. I might do some more binge watching of 'Better Call Saul' this afternoon. Have the best day possible. :)  |

It is also the coldest part of the day until the sun warms the day up, consequently we never have any form of heating on until the sun sets. well I rise everyday seven hrs earlier than UK and either 6 or 8 than Spain !! we have been so far very fortunate with no fires whilst queensland and NSW are having horrendous fires and our pollies claim it's nothing to do with climate change? who to believe - got thundery clouds tonight but they may just pass over. wife back from se asia and I passed muster!! she took me to her mothers place earlier and proceeded to explain all the excitements of her trip - they fell asleep! - bit like saying "let me show you all my holiday snaps" - they only excite you!! |

| Good morning - No rain promised for today. Glad your leg is improving Mart....you need to be fully fit at this time of year there is so much to do. I'm off to the docs today for cortisone injections in my hands  |

| Good morning - It's wet and awful today but the shopping has to be done anyway. Family are arriving for Christmas tomorrow. We should be going over to the neighbour's for a party tonight but Mrs mart has been so ill recently that we won't be able to go. I should be riding over to see my brother this afternoon but apart from it being too wet, my leg still isn't up to cycling. I might go in the car. I hope the injections improve matters Malcolm. Have the best day possible. :)  |

| Good Morning - more rain today although it was not forecasted yesterday....the weathermen are useless
Up and at it even earlier today ... family coming today for the annual xmas visit.
I have prepared loads of food, I hope they bring their appetites along with them !!
My hands are very sore at present, but it seems that is usual for a day or two after the cortisone. |
