| Good morning - yet more rain rain rain promised for today. Family coming round for a few hours in a couple of weeks time, drinks and nibbles. No present searching and shopping for us just monetary gifts to all No Christmas tree or decorations for us.......my only contribution to these forced 'celebrations' will be roasting a turkey and drinking port and brandy instead of gin & tonic     |

| great to see you back jenkay! - sorry to hear about the hubby. Mal you drink brandy and port mixed??
my favorite is drambuie on ice. we are also in wot we call the teasing seasion - clouds come over and thunder rumbles but someone else gets it. fil is madly putting his outdoor lights up again! much to his wifes annoyance. how is xmas in spain beast? |

| Good morning - A bright morning. We'll be going into town soon. If it stays bright, I might even wash the car seeing as how it's starting to grow moss in the crevices. Moss in the crevices never looks good. Have the best possible day.:) |

Accidents are usually the result of a combination of factors with no one thing being the sole cause or 'blame' This man was just doing his job to the best of his ability on the day and has been hounded and pilloried for 30 years for his mistakes and his life subsequently destroyed. Accidents like this will always occur despite everyone's best intentions. |

very cold here
harry is still in hospital they are still doing lots of tests but the good news is they have taken the drips away and he's taking antibiotics by mouth now
would like to know how he has got e coli in the first place

A very emotive subject Davo.....The tragic incident occurred due to a number of failings on many different levels.....This was concluded at the first inquest....What was an empowering force for the bereaved families was the subsequent cover up of deceit and lies perpetrated by the hierarchy of the South Yorkshire police force.This deflected from the system and people responsible for the shortcomings of that day. Sheffield Wednesday FA itself and the safety measures in place ( Or not ) The lack of a current safety certificate, the lack of turnstiles of entry. These factors combined with the last minute ( Three weeks ) appointment of a new police chief in charge of the match day, whose woeful inexperience was to be exposed with terrible consequences.The number of tragic incidents ranging from one-offs like the Abervan disaster to the Grenfell tower block fire to a number of NHS hospital failings where thousands of people lost their lives to even yesterdays attack on the public on Tower Bridge....The official public bodies responsible for these failings will ALWAYS seek to deflect the blame from themselves. sad but true! |
