| Curried Cod - asian style! Ingredients:Cooking method for Curried CodServes 2Make a paste of the curry powder and chilli powder with a little water. Fry the onion until translucent in the veg oil then add the garlic, ginger and chilli and stir fry on medium for a further 5 minutes. Add the curry and chilli powder paste and stir in and fry for a further 30 secs. Add the cod and cook for 1 minute on each side. Add half the Massalla Gravy and simmer for 5 minutes or until the cod is cooked, stirring constantly. If needed add more massalla gravy and water to prevent the curry becoming too thick or dry. Now add the finely chopped coriander leaves and cook for a further minute. Serve with the whole coriander leaves sprinkled over the top.yummy yummy yum

| I have asked several fish mongers how a cod can have loins and have never received a sensible answer. Have you any idea as to an answer?
We are having sirloin steak today, with plenty of fried onions, carrot, sprouts and roast spuds. Plenty of onion gravy too. ----------------------------------------- Gustav Mahler is the finest composer who ever lived. |

| Still unsure what yesterday's fish was. I think it was cod but it was very small sized fillets.
Today it's the panchetta, pea and orza "risotto" which I detailed the other day.
I have, apparently, a problem with my kidneys so I'm keeping the protein down somewhat before I go to see the nephrologist tomorrow. |

| Not sure yet but most likely black pudding with hash browns and peas. It's a 'pint of beer' day too, so will have that as well ...Or I might have one of the curries I bought from Asda this morning and mix some fresh green beans in with it and have the pint of beer. :) |

| Traditionally, Indian tandoori is made with chicken or lamb. However, it's also a delicious and healthy way to cook fish. Tandoori paste is available at most large supermarkets. Cucumber raita is the traditional accompaniment to tandoori dishes. (Serves 4-6) 1 kg sweetlip fillets, skinned and boned 2 heaped tablespoons tandoori paste 2 dessertspoons hot mango chutney lettuce leaves, sliced red onion and lime wedges to serve CUCUMBER RAITA: 1/2 continental cucumber, diced 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon chopped mint 2-3 teaspoons plain yoghurt * Mix all raita ingredients. Set aside. * Cut fish into narrow portions. * Mix tandoori, chutney and oil in a glass bowl. * Add fish pieces and move around to coat with tandoori mix. * Using tongs, remove fish from marinade and cook on a hot BBQ plat for 2-3 minutes. * Arrange crisp lettuce leaves and sliced red onion on a serving plate. * Top with fish, spoon over raita and garnish with lime.
