I confess that I have flagged over the last few days - but not for lack of interest. It's just because I have other, hopefully, short term domestic issues.

My wife is ailing and in need of some TLC.  I went to the joke shop to get properly dressed and cheer her up.

Malcolm, your suggestion of looking on eBay for my remote control - this was one of the first things I did and very oddly I did find a couple of sellers but on looking further they were both "currently unavailable". That message is rare on eBay, they are normally removed if out of stock, aren't they.

BTW I had to sign in this morning - first time since joining.

Thanks for the good wishes - she is on the mend hopefully and has been left with a hacking and persistent cough.

I have no photos on my computer. Would not know how to put them there.
I do not own a camera.

However, just to change the surfing avatar thingy which Malcolm kindly put under my name .....
I have a photograph of my ugly face (wifey says it terrifies small children).
I have a printer/scanner doover.
I would like to somehow scan that photo and plonk that image on here.

After much effort and frustration I managed to do that in that other (unmentionable) Forum.
But that was years ago,
And even then, it only appeared as a tiny fraction of the permissable size.
something to do with the photo being 6"x 4" and the scanner being A4 I suppose - and I never worked out how to re-size the bloody thing.

You may realize from the above that this will be a challenge - undoubtedly boring to others - and I will look even more like a dill.
Perhaps it should be pursued in Private Messages ? Your call.

Most forums seem to have quiet periods. I wouldn't worry about it.
