I have some pork cheeks in my freezer...I may try something similar with them

Devilled pigs kidneys and rice today.

Lamb shanks in  mint and rosemary gravy,with roast spuds,carrots and spring greens

Spanish tortilla for us today, using any leftovers in the fridge.

Lamb neck fillets braised with shallots and rosemary, new potatoes, mixed root vegetable mash and kale.

Jacket spud for us with butter and baked beans, and I will have lots off chopped onion on mine too.

Friday home cooked tempura battered Haddock and McCain Home Chips with marrowfat peas and a bottle of N.Z Chardonnay.

Baps filled with smoked roast turkey, and for me thick slices of onion, and sliced tomato for 'Er indoors.

I am going to cook a Chinese meal tonight. Sweet and sour chicken and beef strips in a garlic
and black bean sauce.

The sweet and sour will be home made, but the garlic and black bean sauce will be out of a sachet.

It will be accompanied by boiled rice and noodles

Try making your own stir fry sauce. Just mix together one table spoon each of dark soy sauce,runny honey and Sharwoods sweet red chilli. Change the quantities to suit your own taste,We  prefer a little extra chillii. Only add the sauce at the end,to avoid burning.

I regularly make my own sauces - but I sometimes get lazy.

Yesterday's BBC derived recipe was OK but, I won't be making it again.

Today we are having macaroni cheese.

Duck legs and orange sauce with roast spuds, sprouts and carrots.

We were out all day today visiting Bletchley Park and the WW2 Enigma code breaking site - so came home to sausage, egg and beans. With a nice bottle of Portuguese red of course.

Chicken Kiev tonight, with curly fries, peas and sweetcorn.
