| On a few occasions, I have created a post or new thread and when I eventually press 'preview' it all disappears.
I must admit that it can take longer than I would normally be, because I am still trying to work out how the inserting pictures operates. I am following sags instructions for the different options and will sort it out eventually.
So, my question is: Does my creation in-progress completely disappear because of time limitation? |

| OK....having checked all the relevant info, there is no time limit in the forum software. The problem must be at your end ! |

| Insert image is alongside other options after B I U S. I will preview this before posting as a test.

| I certainly wasn't complaining.
It must be something I am doing or not doing correctly. Being new to the forum presents the occasional challenge. ;) |

| This is how I do it but there may be other routes.....
To post from a link
Copy the link ie : one beginning http...etc and ending jpg
Click on the monitor icon which when you hover on it, says "insert image"
Paste the url
Press "insert".
To post a picture file on your PC
Click on monitor/disc icon that when you hover on it says "Host an image"
Click on "Select files"
Now browse to file(s) you wish to insert - and click on open in the browser. The picture(s) will appear as thumbnails in the window
Now click on "Send All" and three links will appear alongside the thumbnail(s)
Copy the first link http...etc
Now click on the Insert Image button and paste the link into the box and insert. |

| Malcom - where is the "Attachment" button or route to it?
I see only :- Host an Image Insert an Image Insert a Link Insert a YouTube Video
I cannot find a method to "Add an attachment"
Another subject The "Active topics" button has vanished from the header and has been replaced by "New Posts" which does not appear to do the same thing. Or am I hallucinating again? |

| Just a thought, earlier today I realised that the email address which I used when I registered was not quite correct. Immediately after the correction, I received an email from serving.com telling me that my account had been created. I have just tried using the 'hosting' method in the testing forum and it has worked! Perhaps I have solved the problem for any future new member who has the same difficulty? |
