It'll be a cold, bright start to the day today with sunny spells lasting into the afternoon. Showers are likely by the afternoon, these perhaps wintry over the hills, and it will feel cold in the northerly breeze.

After a bright start, especially across southern counties, skies will cloud over for a time, with a risk of a few showers. However, it should become brighter again through the afternoon, with plenty of sunshine to end the day.

It's a day of sunshine and showers for most, with the showers turning heavy and wintry across northern parts, even to lower levels. Turning colder, particularly in the north and east where the winds strengthen with gales in exposure.

A chilly but dry start, followed by a breezy day with sunny spells and widespread, sometimes wintry showers. Some showers may turn heavy, with the risk of hail and thunder. Feeling cold too, especially in and around any showers.
