A colder day with outbreaks of showery rain, perhaps wintry over the hills, and some brighter spells. The showers becoming less frequent through the afternoon. Fairly light winds, but these becoming stronger later in the afternoon.................................or at least that's what the weathermen say |

A cold and perhaps frosty or icy start in sheltered areas. Mainly dry with sunny spells in the south of the region, although a band of cloud and rain will affect parts of Cumbria throughout the day..................................or at least that's what the weathermen say |

Cold start, with frost or ice. It may be cloudy with patchy rain to begin with in the south, which may be slow to clear Cheshire. Dry and sunny conditions elsewhere, which will spread to the south by the afternoon...................................or at least that's what the weathermen say |

After a frosty start with some patches of fog, it will be a fine day with plenty of sunny spells, though feeling cold. We will see a few showers, particularly in the south, which may be wintry over higher ground....................................or at least that's what the weathermen say |
