Good Morning + what are you up to today and how is your weather

Well ..the way I see it is this.. there's no hurry to decide what to do.

This forum isn't going anywhere. It's a freebie so it will sit here in webbyland until one day a glitch strikes and gives us a problem.
We can stay here if we like. Does size matter too much or is it a case of loyalty to Malcolm and hanging around in the hope he would come back? If it comes to it I'll take it over if the choice is to stay here. I had a look on the support forum and it seems fairly straightforward to do so.

Then there's OFF, as Davo said ... but I wouldn't recommend that to anyone now. It's changed beyond belief and certain subjects are taboo. A case of overkill with rules and automated bots and silly badges. I'm still on there, intermittently.


There is another forum. 
It's recently, over the last week or so had an influx of new members.
From OFF. Disgruntled and on the prowl for a new home.
Davo and Purwell would know a few names from on there.

Is it any good? I joined and found it to have a friendly laidback and relaxed atmosphere, not too different to here. One snag .. the owner is a hermit and I get the impression he's not too interested if things don't work, though I could be being unfair there. 
There is no PM facility (he's switched it off in the past) and there is no memberlist. 
It's a strange little place.... but welcoming.
I'm still test running it as I'm looking for new home.

raining here this morning we are in for a wet day

I know, awful innit .. It's been chucking it down all night here and is still persizzling it down.
And to think, a few months back they were worried about no rain, no water..and hose bans.

it was when I realized that he'd died about what 5/6 mths ago that I got the shivers I think he must have told the other guy from winchester way who was that Mart that he was on his way and Mart jumped ship I think? not that I blame him and not a thing people wanna talk about -  what did he say "...................things aren't looking very good at all won't be around much" or words to that effect.  Yes did have a look at the suggested site and knew a few that's for sure but I am just cruisin atm things to fix in my own life but I'll be around somehow somewhere ..............no not doin a malcolm - don't panic don't panic but we must all accept that this is the way of forums people come and go...........but heh we'z all sorta family heh?

I'm now wondering about his imissus or did she kick off her clogs early than he did? cos she was quite sick too?

I think his good lady is alive but as you say, not in the best of health herself. 

Today's a much better day, quite sunny if a little blustery at times so I've been out all day generally heckling shopkeepers and making a nuisance of myself.

ah well 6pm and still and 34C - just got my pc running correct again passwords disappearing etc and many sites now wanting 2-3 different forums to prove innocence - lost yahoo today which is a sorta flag ship but got a very efficient email back from a Chris who in writing fixed it all up with a bit of help from me of course as being good at following instructions - this password business has become an absolute nightmare - internet friendly and enjoyable you gotta be joking, i think i prefered the old ways in the 40's so much more peaceful and boring!!!  still it does keep me amused as well - new mobile is a pain as well - the young grandkids find them no problem at all.

you know just been finkin \i am still going through some grieving here - still can't believe he's gone and all his history too - well here in a way? whats the old saying - ya don't miss it until its gone? I used to know hundreds of people on and off in \hants now many pass on and others pass through?

It's true Davo ... you can get as attached to people in webbyland as you can folk in the real world. I've lost a few forum friends and you do miss them.

Not a bad morning here ...after yesterdays persizzling drizzle it's quite nice and sunny, not much wind and the leaves look lovely in their autumnal colours.    I'm getting into hibernating mode though.

Purwell ... how you getting on at that other forum? Is it worth giving it a go? 
What're your first impressions?

I remember him from the OFF original days and I do believe he had a few skirmishes with the mods then but some of us did as well. place is a dull mess now!! so that must have been for me to now 10 yrs maybe? mart has gone right off the radar too?? did I mention I did some tracking to find an old girl friend of mine just recently and discovered she had died some 22 yrs ago wow but actually spoke to her daughter NOT mine also in uk over the phone she nearly fell off her stool! \i don't understand this planet anymore?
