| Good Morning-- A cold but sunny day is in prospect for us today. Had a lie-in 'til 5am ... although much to do today, my son is coming for lunch plus we have to remove our old king-size mattress and install a freshly delivered new one, negotiating the stairs and moving stuff around  |

| I bought a duck yesterday from our butchers and cooked it today for dinner.
I usually buy duck breasts, but the whole duck was only a couple of pounds more that a pair of duck breasts. Compared with a chicken it was the very devil to carve tidily but it was delicious served with Raspberry sauce laced with port and triple sec. |

| morning all
very cold and frosty here
well the kitchen is finished at last took all w/end putting everything back
still got a lot of stuff in boxes but that's for the dining room
just to get the unit in the dining room painted she is coming this week instead of buying a new one all i need then is a new table she cant paint the table i have she said it would soon chip shame really its lovely but wont match anymore after that on the 6th dec the decorators are coming to paint all the walls then new French windows to go in and blinds and i will be done thank god never again
the biggest thing is changing from a gas cooker to a electric one its a neff hide and slide all electronic settings a nightmare but i will get there eventually i hope |
