12°C but murky today.
Was raining earlier.

We had a spectacular October weather wise and spent several days on various beaches and days and nights up in the mountains of ' Montseyn', Visiting medievil towns and places of interest.[url=https://servimg.com/view/19053687/241][/url]
Our visitors from Longton spent three great weeks before heading down south for better weather. Since their departure the weather has turned chilly and we have actually had the heating on twice, nearly unheard of for this time of the year.
Raining most of today and the forecast is more of the same for the next few days.

The forecast is a mild morning with mist and fog patches. The mild is right, the rest is wrong - visibility is clear.

A respite from the daily drizzle with the sun shining, though a few dark clouds over the mountain of 'Montseyn'in the distance.....They normally stay there.

Had to attend my opticians this morning for an eye test and diabetic eye check. The optician must have consumed a lot of cow pies and chips over the past two years - he must have put on 3 or 4 stones and is no longer chubby but huge.

He was wearing a huge black moulded mask which projected 3 or 4 inches from his face. I managed to hold my tongue and not tell him he looked like an alien from Star Wars.

the eye tests confirmed my prescription had hardly changed from 2 years ago and the tiny macular blip in my right eye remains nothing to be concerned about.

I walked home in the rain and got soaked. It wasn't cold though.

Up early today .. off to Preston to do some shopping.

Good morning all - but not for me. Awoken at 03:30 with severe leg cramp and had to get up. My own fault - too much wine with dinner last night and not drinking enough water or other fluids during the day.

Still working outside in the garden everyday but gets chilly around 17.00 hrs.

Have applied for new passport online....Bit of a bodge job as site wouldnt accept any photo uploaded.....Apparently its a bit of a problem with the website and has had many complaints. I just bypassed the page by insisting the photo was up to standard and had no further problems.

hopefully the kitchen will be finished to day fingers crossed
