I tested positive for Covid a couple of days ago so am now self isolating.

Continuing long warm sunny days and the forecast is for more.

Had the dreadful experience of summoning an emergency vet to have our elder female cat put to sleep yesterday.....She was in some pain and hadn't eaten or drank for 3 days. it was a critical infection of the euterus and other organs which very little could have been done. Something I have been through several times over the years but always somewhat distressing, she is buried at the top of the garden amongst various others from over the years.

It has happened to me too over the years...a dreadful emotional experience.
I swore I would never have a house pet again.
I now have three feral cats who I feed outside twice a day with the best food money can buy.
They live outside and have done for quite a number of years.
They are wild and un-pettable or strokeable , I have a large dog kennel in which they sleep together.

Mr Purwell, hope the isolation is rapid and you are feeling well throughout.

10°C and partly sunny in North Herts.

I'm feeling a lot better now, most symptoms were just like a cold, runny nose, sneezing, slight headache.

I have been sent some anti biotic capsules to take, 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening for 5 days.

Will do a lateral flow test today to see if I am still infectious.
