Good morning. Busy one for me - we have 4 friends over for lunch and with Libby being crocked with a problem knee - for which the results of last week's Xray are awaited - I am the chef and general factotum. 

I have made it simple for myself - tempura king prawn starter followed by chicken ceasar salad then lemon cheese cake (which I cooked last evening). All washed down with some Portuguese Douro white wine. The mixing bowl for the tempura batter is in the freezer and the batter ingredients - gluten free flour with added baking powder and a bottle of tonic water in the fridge.  The batter has to be mixed as cold as possible at the last minute before coating the prawns and dropping them into the deep fat fryer.  

Forecast is sunny intervals today. No rain expected. High around 20C. Winds WSW at 15 to 25 km/h.

Just booked transport for hospital appointments next week, Monday and Wednesday.

I spoe to the consultant yesterday and they are happy with progress so far and these appointments are for blood test and bone marrow biopsy just to check that it's going to plan.

Good afternoon - It's been a nice day here but it was certainly chilly earlier when riding to the allotment. Had a pint of beer and a bag of crisps at the pub at lunchtime.

Good morning - The Sun is shining and another fine day is forecast.

I'll be at the allotment again. Once the plants have given their vegetables, the area dug over, spread with a fair depth of manure and covered with black sheeting until next year (to stop the weeds growing). That's what I'll be doing today.

Our son's huge new TV is arriving at some time. I'll be going over there to give him a hand with unpacking and setting it up.

Good morning - It's supposed to be another sunny day today. We'll see.

Our son's new TV didn't arrive until late afternoon. Too late to be going there to help set it up, so a job for today.

Bright at the moment but not sure if it will last.

Nurse is coming to decide if my feed tube can be removed.
