Fresh back off holiday, and it is so nice to be home and sitting on me hammock swing in our garden.

Good morning - sunny and warm again throughout the day  Scorchio!

I hardly slept last night due to the heat and humidity. The room temperature in the study was 23.2C when I gave up trying to sleep at 5:00 and is now 24.4C with the sun on the window and blinds drawn.


There are some wispy clouds drifting across which looked hopeful but they appear to be dissipating. The forecast for us is sunny all day and 28C

Our bedroom blinds were drawn and curtains also closed all day yesterday and the day before, and will be also closed all day today along with the same in the living room and dining room in the afternoons...this keeps the temps down somewhat. The duvet has been replaced by a cotton sheet and thin blanket to ensure relatively restful nights.

Good morning - The same weather here as everywhere. My brother was stationed in Labuan. Very hot and humid there. He found the best way to sleep was to just lay there with eyes closed, accept the sweat and not keep moving around trying to get comfortable. I follow the advice and find it works during these hot nights.

True Jenkay, the forecast is for possible rain on Friday. On the bright side (ha!), the weather being so changeable means we nearly always have something different to report here.  

On the downside, we never have enough time to get acclimatised to one condition or another.

Good morning - hot hot hot again today  Scorchio!

Good morning - Another hot one. More heavy, soggy and pongy muckspreading to do at the allotment this morning. Sure to break a sweat.

I don't envy you Mart on such a hot day. Stuff plenty of Vicks up your nose, wear a mask and breathe through your mouth.

Sunny again here in North Herts, 25°C.

Evening all .... I'm struggling in this heat. Can't wait for a decent thunderstorm .... I love thunder.

And I'm ashamed to say I'm guilty of stuffing my face with ice cream.
