thanks for your comments Beast - here in the top end with darwin the focus we await the first monsoons and cyclones that will bring us the rain. 

as the world teeters from autocracies to democracies one can't help thinking that the one common denominator in human existance is that we can be classified as "homo sapiens - stuff up merchants"

we have the capacity to be so kind and helpful at times and in times of tragedies but also violent and vicious and selfish

Good morning - Sunny with a bit of a frost this morning.

I might go to the allotment for a couple of hours and barrow some woodchip onto the paths. I normally wouldn't go there at weekends but stuff needs doing and I can't get there tomorrow, Tuesday or Wednesday.

OZ was once the destination for future young families - not quite the same now!! we're all trying to get one pound pom tickets the other way back!!

Good morning - Cold, grey and frosty this morning. Supermarket and other shopping today.

We don't drive our car very much and I've started using the trickle charger on the battery to make sure it will start on these cold mornings when we want it to. I'll see if it does soon. :)

You'd feel the cold Davo and soon get fed up with the rain. :)

Off down the 'Adjuntamento' ( Town Hall ) tomorrow. Every year they automatically deduct 1K from my account for 12 months rubbish collection from my business....And every year I have to fight them for the return of six months payments as I am only open for six months.....It is a yearly battle I have come to enjoy as I have the opportunity in a public forum to highlight their ineptitude in not only this item of incompetence but several others.....mainly regarding the corruption rife within the corridors of power in the tiny little town I live in......They really don't like me turning up every year ....

Good morning - Dry, grey and chilly. I'll be going on a U3A walk soon (around 4 miles). The usual cycle ride to my friend's house and then a drive to the starting point. Cycling home again after we get back to his house. It all keeps me moving.

Possibly a trip to 'The Range' later to buy a few things.
