Where our granddaughter lives with friends in Wanaka

Our granddaughter is have a marvellous time in New Zealand on an 18 month trip.  This where she is living at present with some other young back packers.

Looks great andsome. Some good memories forever when you go somewhere like that.

A friend of ours down the pub emigrated to New Zealand but came back to look after his ailing Mother. Even though duty has now been done, he says he won't be returning to New Zealand.

On asking why, he said that the scenery is marvellous but in the end admiring the scenery and walking was all there was to do and he'd got fed up with it. Mind you, it did take him over 25 years to get fed up with it. :;smile:

Beautiful scenery Andsome and it would be good skiing now after the big snow of last week. She in to skiing?

It's winter there now. She has never skied before,but us learning fast.

She has a job at Lookout Lodge in Wanaka South Island waitressing to earn her skiing money. She went in September for six months,then changed that to seven, then to a year, now she hopes to be home for Christmas, stopping off in India first.

will she be skiing in India too??

Sh can't afford to hire a Sherpa to take her up the Himalayas.
