well NO not actually in a tree but after Robinson Crusoe always wanted to. I've called this Boab dusk [very original] this is at the end of the dry season when they have lost all their nuts and the new green foliage hasn't arrived as yet

and these believe it or not is YES you've guessed are dinosaur foot prints - couldn't find the rest of it - this was found and resides on our coastal town of Broome

So in Broome, or thereabouts. I've never been up the West side of Oz. Been to Perth and across the Nullabar plains but most of my time was spent in Queensland places like Maryborough and Biloela and Rockhampton. I like the footprint! Good thing we weren't there at the time!

you got it 200kms inland from broome - another tropical low forming up above us on the coast - lovely more coolness and rain!

Since you would appear to be in a remote location - how do you get broadband, how fast is it and is it expensive?

well the ozzie govt is attempting to roll out what is called NBN - national broadband for the entire country - some remote areas seem to be getting it quicker than others - so we have no problems - but i just use a usb and pay monthly and talk perfectly clearly to my sister in canada with no direct attachment to a telephone system [well that was when I was able to talk more clearly!]

That's a beautiful place to live Beastie... I am very envious

Me too Beastie.  I would love to live there, but my DH would not comply...

Beastie my deceased brother lived in a small spanish village called Yegan quite famous for english writers of the 30's I think. His widow still lives there but I think will sell if she can. My sister [in Canada] and I promised many times to get together there but never did make enough effort. we sadly miss him now - I think he and she were an hours drive from Malaga but they did put a lot of love into the house and my bros spoke quite good southern spanish! :;smile:

When I saw this one, I was absolutely what might be called 'gob smacked'...
