Many areas will have showers today, and a few of these may be heavy and perhaps thundery in eastern parts of the region. Near the west coast, showers will be fewer and there will be plenty of sunshine, especially later..

This morning will start dry with some sunny spells. It will turn cloudier later in the morning, then rain and drizzle will arrive from the west in the afternoon including some heavier bursts over the hills.

Today will be a largely fine day with variable cloud amounts and sunny spells. However, there will be a few showers around, but they will move through fairly quickly in the brisk westerly wind and many areas will miss them..

After a dry start for many, showery outbreaks of rain will spread across the region by lunchtime, turning heavy in places. Staying cloudy with some drier spells in the northwest..
