A cloudy start, with perhaps a few spots of light rain at first. The cloud will soon start to break up, giving some good spells of sunshine by the afternoon. Perhaps a few showers in the north later..

A bright start across Northwest England this morning, although cloud will build from the west through the rest of the day. It will remain mostly dry, however, except for perhaps the odd spell of rain during the afternoon..
