I get very frustrated with people, especially if they are receptionists, who ask you to call them back but only tell you the number once.
I find it difficult to write the number down at the same speed they talk at!

I used to have the same problem being profoundly deaf - so I now interrupt them and ask them to kindly repeat the number slowly because I am a deaf wrinkly and I read it back to them to ensure I heard them correctly

90% cooperate wwwwithout any fuss.
