Yorkshire Tea Empty
PostSubject: Yorkshire Tea   Yorkshire Tea EmptySat Jul 24, 2021 10:05 am

The regular TV adverts and the mountains of Yorkshire Tea on supermarket shelves has peaked my interest.

Just where in Yorkshire are the tea plantations?   teacup  giggle

Malcolm
You will have Ken Dodd after you. The Treacle mines are in Knotty Ash.

Alan, Maybe we do not have the Tea but we have all the ex. tea workers. their wives, kids ,Aunts Uncle Tom Cobbely and all. Just call into Bradford, Dewsbury and the former Mill towns around there.

I don't ever drink tea but my wife Libby does and always buys Yorkshire tea bags which make tea so strong you could almost stand a spoon in it.

The problem with it though is that it stains even china cups and needs a soak in bleach solution to remove it completely.

Yorkshire tea is not a drink for wimps. That's why I have PG Tips. The PG probably stands for Parental Guidance, although I don't know what that has to do with tea.

I drink tea and coffee. Drinks throughout the day are..

Coffee is the first drink of the day.
Tea at lunchtime.
Coffee around 2.00 p.m.
Fizzy drink or beer (alternate days) at dinner time.
Coffee at about 8.00 p.m.

There might be the odd swig or two of fizzy orange or water during the hot weather but the above drinks routine is pretty much set in stone.
