| I would guess many here would prefer a permanent larger font size - is it possible to achieve this either for the site or our own individual postings- I'm sick of changing the font size all the time! |

| That is a nice tip - it reduces eye strain. |

| I admit I find the text a wee on the small side too. It looks to be set at about 10...maybe even smaller at 8.
Malcolm .... It could be possible to change the text size.
Go into Admin> Display>Pictures & Colours> Colours> Look at the table and find the one that deals with Main Font Size
It will however change all the font size all over the forum, including on your top link menu which might go into a double bar... and I'm not sure if it might affect the forum width within it's background... or the text in the forum banner unless you designed that as a complete separate image and loaded it up.
If that doesn't do it, it could mean nervewracking messing about with individual stylesheets and furkling about with template code. Not for the faint hearted and best avoided unless you're a whizz at it. I did know a lady forum owner who had a bash at that once without backing up her templates and the forum literally went totally skewiff. It wasn't me! |

Mr Sags found another way .. yes, I roped him in. He uses the scroll pad thingy on the laptop itself by using two fingers and just sliding them apart like a drag. I can never use the scroll pad thingy myself. |

Thanks sags ! I've only just seen this post of yours. I have tried every possible avenue including those you mention.....this is the best I could manage, it won't suit everyone I know but life's a compromise .... so are forums |

| One of the problems I have experienced in tinkering with the default values on a forum is ensuring that such changes are compatible with all platforms. More and more people now use tablets rather than PC's and a growing number rely upon their phone. Many phone users use the Tapatalk app to access forums and this is known to introduce compatibility issues. Hence tinkering to satisfy one need can, like a medicine, cure one problem and create another. Just saying - I am far from being the "font" of all knowledge. I'll get me coat. |
