| This "coldest beer" thing makes me shiver. Don't you just hate it when you innocently ask for a beer and they go to the freezer for a frosted glass. Hey wait, mate. One off the shelf please. Chambré. Make mine warm and soupy every time. ----------------------------------------- Caesar adsum jam forte. Brutus aderat. Caesar sic in omnibus. Brutus sic inat

| Ice cold in the UK is reserved for gassy lagers like you have in OZ. We have many craft beers in the UK brewed by micro breweries, usually available only in the local areas. | I much prefer a cold light beer - never been much of a real ale or mild drinker.

Having said that I quite like Old Speckled Hen (really cold) You have obviously never tried Hobgoblin. It is a superb drink. ----------------------------------------- Gustav Mahler is the finest composer who ever lived. |

| It's bloody expensive here too.
Crawling round Holborn and Fleet Street yesterday and nothing was less that four quid a pint. (yeah I know its a bit cheaper than that further north of The Thames)
As our ambassador said: Well worth the extra though. ----------------------------------------- Caesar adsum jam forte. Brutus aderat. Caesar sic in omnibus. Brutus sic inat

Having said that I quite like Old Speckled Hen (really cold) You have obviously never tried Hobgoblin. It is a superb drink. That's where you are wrong...I have and I found it quite nice - but nothing to rave about. We all have different tastes in most things - including but not limited to - ale, footie, bowls or humour. I have also enjoyed the odd glass of "Dogs Bollocks" when I visit a friend in Whitney. I guess its a local brew - I have not seen it anywhere else My cousin in Leeds likes a beer from a Brewery in Bolton called "Old Slapper" - I tried one last year and did not like it one bit. (By that I mean I tried a beer called Old Slapper) ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm.
