Cloudy and windy today with prolonged spells of rain through the morning. After a brief drier spell, showers, sometimes wintry over high ground, arrive from the west. It will be a mild start to the day, but turning colder later..................................................or at least that's what the weathermen say |

| It was eight degrees in Burntwood at seven thirty,and still only nine now,and peeing down. Forecast to dry up a little later. |

A very unsettled start to the day with snow showers early morning, mainly over higher ground but localised accumulations at lower levels are possible. Scattered showers then continue in the afternoon. Feeling very cold, with strong winds...................................................or at least that's what the weathermen say |

| Three degrees and drizzling in Burntwood this morning. Thank goodness the forecast overnight snow did not materialise. Heavy rain is forecast for this afternoon. |

A cold start with some patchy frost. It will be a more settled day than yesterday with lighter winds, sunny spells and some scattered wintry showers which will ease through the day. Outbreaks of rain, sleet and hill snow will slowly sink southwards through the day with brighter spells and wintry showers following from the the north. Strong winds will slowly ease and it will feel cold under the cloud and rain....................................................or at least that's what the weathermen say |

| One degree and wall to wall sunshine at present in Burntwood. Light snow is forecast for later on. I hate the world this morning,I have a streaming cold,and may not survive the day. I feel wretched. Er indoors says it must be a man cold,whatever that is,no sympathy from that neck of the woods. |

A crisp, bright start for most with patchy cloud and isolated wintry showers in the north. The showers become more widespread into the afternoon with sleet and snow likely over the hills especially. Feeling cold in a fresh northerly wind.....................................................or at least that's what the weathermen say |
