It rained here yesterday all afternoon, though no thunder
And today is lovely. The muggy icky stickiness has gone.

If I was an exhibitionist I'd post a picky of me in itty bitty top and shorts.
But I'm not. So I shan't.

Brace yourself everyone ...
Friday night and Saturday there's supposed to severe thunderstorms hitting the south and moving northwards ... with severe flooding..... hailstones ... frequent lightning... squally winds .. plagues of locusts ..

Who on earth writes the MET office weather warnings ????

we are in the middle of a thunder storm this morning
pouring down with really loud bangs  awful :stormy:

bit dull ut I've a feeling it'll get warmer and sunnier later

Seventeen degrees and cloudy this morning.  We had a fierce electrical storm last night, with plenty of sheet lightning but no thunder.  We have two water butts, and when the first is full it overflows into the second. There was only sufficient rain to top up the first to two thirds full.  The garden is desperately in need of a lot more of the wet stuff.

Have you no hosepipe andsome, I have been out this week back and front, greenhouse and pots !

We use a hosepipe as a last resort.  Rainwater is much preferred.

Same here Andsome --two butts -both full and it dont take long to empty em this weather

Good Morning everyone
Largely fine and dry this morning, with some patchy cloud but plenty of warm sunshine. Through the afternoon scattered showers will develop, becoming more widespread and frequent for a time with the risk of thunder, before easing again this evening.....or at least that's what they say !


So how do you get the rainwater out of the butts and on to the garden ?
