| Anyone watching them?
I'm in two minds whether to bother as it's going to be a poor show with covid decimating the ranks of competitors and spectators..
I admit to being curious about the New Zealand transgender super heavyweight ladies weightlifter.
I really really don't think she (an ex-he) should compete against woman. Whatever gender she is now she developed as a man, must surely still have a man's physique and strength. The poor women don't really stand a chance. |

| Absolutely agree with that Morty....there was a South African woman called Caster something who competed with other woman in running events but was clearly a man and of course she decimated the opposition |

| I quite fancy strong women - but draw the line at what might in wait in their pants. However - I totally agree with Morty - it is wokeism at its worst ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm. That sounds like the first line of a limerick (almost) I might watch a few events but the games won't be the same without the crowds. All that money spent on stadiums too. I wonder if the athletes will get the same feeling out of competing/winning without the public cheering them on? |

| I agree about the transgender weightlifter! The trouble is the definition used by the Olympic organisers allow it. There are probably few other contests where a body built under testosterone influence, is not going to have an advantage even if the testosterone levels are now low, as is required by the Olympic committee. It's too bloody late. He/she has competed as a man a few years ago and has a mans body. I have no objection to LGBT people, it's natures fault not their's. I have met some really nice people who are that way inclined but even they don't think it's fair. ----------------------------------------- Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol!

| The Olympics has been a farce for one reason or another for many years. I believe it was originally intended for amateurs to compete but now open to pseudo wealthy sponsored professionals.
I have no interest in it and am not surprised at this current unfair shambles. ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm.
