Word got around that I liked Blueberries, so one of the other allotment owners gave us a couple of bushes. They are doing well. Just before I took the photo, I was in the tunnel eating them straight from the bushes.

They look rather yummy.

Did you take the mushroom home to fry for tea?

I'm never sure what's a mushroom and what isn't. I thought it might be a toadstool because it was out in full sunlight. Is it a mushroom?

I've no idea ... but you're right. Best not to eat anything like that unless you know for sure what it is.

Years back in my old house I'd see droves of mushroom pickers in the field across the road. Not many after ... I often wondered if they'd picked something dodgy and made themselves ill.

I bet you're spending all day watering in this weather.

It's a Psilocybin  Mushroom.  It won't kill you - just send you hurling into a trance and be incoherent

Thanks for identifying the mushroom and letting me know of its benefits. In view of the effects it has, I suppose I ought to leave eating it until the next time I feel I need cheering up.

I look forward to your unintelligible post letting us know you have eaten it. giggle

It's not yet ready to eat - wait until it's brown and more dome shaped
