congrats to England to beating the invisible all blacks at rugby today in the world cup finals - I think they have to either play ireland or wales next time?

rain all around but not on my parade!! - must bottle some more home made beer now and dream of cigars!

Good morning - It's dry, misty and frosty. Going to the allotment will be the fist port of call to pull down the runner bean plants.

I'll have to be home in time to accompany Mrs mart to the hospital. She is having a CT scan later this morning. We'll be using the bus to get there and back in view of the parking problems that can be encountered.

When we get home from that, I think I'll have a few hours to myself and will write an e-mail to the company that supplied my cordless drill. It was bought in March and now won't charge up.

Best wishes for Mrs Mart's CT scan....a lot of palaver but at least it's over and done with very quickly !
My colonoscopy CT scan was done on Sept 19th and I had to wait for my results 'til October 18th ... a lot of waiting, worry and wondering, but thank God it proved to be clear, just evidence of some Diverticulosis.
I had it done on the NHS but in a nearby private hospital...I was not impressed with the hospital or the staff or the consultant either

forest fires reported 5 kms away but being contained and there is rain on the way! - not quite the same as california ! but we are advised to have a fire plan in place - now where did I put that toilet paper map?

waiting a month for a scan report is ridiculous - cogs in big wheels comes to mind.

Mrs. Mart's scan went OK on Monday and she is being seen by the Consultant tomorrow (Thursday). She's in quite a bad way regarding her chest, so it looks like she is being fast-tracked.

As it happens, she has an appointment in the eye department for laser work an hour before she's due to see the Consultant. We're hoping to get that done before visiting the Consultant. It looks like we'll be having an afternoon at the hospital tomorrow.

Good morning everyone - I think I'll take a ride to the allotment this morning to spread some woodchip over the paths. Most of the afternoon will be spent at the hospital (Mrs Mart's appointments).

Well at least the weather is being kind....no rain, some sun but very cold 

Good morning - Damp and dismal here today. I just got back from a ride to the chemist (dropped a prescription off). A ride to see my brother this afternoon if the rain holds off.

Mrs mart's test results weren't ready but inflammation in the lungs has been mentioned and she is being referred to the respiratory department. In the meantime, big doses of steroids have been prescribed.

rain clouds building up and winds too but still no rain but it does this at the start of every 'wet' season - tempts us then frustrates! still we are getting ready and we know it is on the way. Once that first deluge happens we know all the undergrowth is wet and can not set alight.
