Yes, why not do it. It highlights threads that might not have been noticed and/or read. Also reminds people to come and have a look at Murgatroyds and maybe to make a post or two.

This has been done without my knowledge by 'forumotion' the email went into my spam folder and I deleted it without reading it. I will read the next one....it there is one
