What a rude, ignorant and pathetic idiot this person is. Why meet up with the Prime Minister of an ally and refuse to shake her hand in full view of the whole world? What on earth was on the minds of the American electorate when they voted this goon in as their president?

More fool her for going there under the illusion she is Queen of Europe after all the things she called Trump. What did she expect.

Notice as well in the "no handshake" clip the fool refused to even look in her direction. She doesn't need to make any report about the "success" of her visit - Trump has done that already by his antisocial reaction on that occasion.

Very worrying times - the world is coming under the control of madmen - Erdogan (Turkey) Putin, Kim Jong thingie, Assad, Trump. I'm sure there are plenty more waiting in the wings - Le Pen in France for instance.

Alan. it wasn't the things she called him, it was just as bad in the other direction. Perhaps if he'd kept his gob shut in the first place things would have been more amicable.

I suggest Selena Scott joins this forum. She loves him. Been hounding her for years.

Why? Because she challenged him about his love of us girls

Alan. she was a visiting prime minister, even if she dislikes him intensely, and I have no way of knowing, she went there and offered the hand of friendship.  He showed his true colours to the whole world by his churlish behaviour. She e is far more a leader than that idiot could ever be.  America has made a big mistake bt voting for the worst of two evils.

Me - I'm totally fed up with the whole self-serving political establishment but recognise there is bugger all I can do about it other than at the ballot box.  That's why I keep away from heated political and religious debates.

To those who complain about Merkel being snubbed - my response is wind back to the first time Theresa May went to Brussels after becoming our Prime Minister. She was publicly snubbed by Merkel, Hollande and all the other Europe leaders. No-one would acknowledge or talk to her so she went and sat at the conference table on her own.

Trump is only one good gun shot away from retirement.

Alan I gave up with politics years ago. I voted for the Monster Raving Loony Party at the last election. Why upset yourself. Politicians haven't got our best interest at heart. 

As regards the PC of being a politician Theresa was for remain to start and probably seen as indecisive to other world leaders. If you throw yourself into the lions den of politics then you reap what you sow. I am not saying that is right.  I abhore rudeness like you.

We have popped over to Lanzarote for a few days to get away from the lousy UK weather and to 'celebrate' my 80th birthday without any friends and family fuss.

You are right there. We get a different view here from the press. No daily snail to report biased views..

Andsome - if you are right that Merkel received May warmly - it only goes to show what treachery exists in the Euro Merkel club when she and all other leaders snubbed May at the first Euro meeting.

It didn't require the Daily Snail to report it - the TV News video that evening showed their appalling rudeness clearly.
