| Things That Irritate Me 1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?
2. People who are willing to get off their butt to search the entire room for the TV remote because they refuse to walk to the TV and change the channel manually.
3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too". That's right! What good is a cake if you can't eat it?
4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they?
5. When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the floor.
6. People who ask "Can I ask you a question?".... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?
7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it.
8. When people say "life is short". What?? Life is the longest thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?
9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks "Has the bus come yet?". If the bus came would I be standing here? ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm. | I can add to that. Young people who say LIKE two or three times in every sentence, and people who say ABSOLUTELY in answer to every question or comment. ----------------------------------------- Gustav Mahler is the finest composer who ever lived. |

| What about people who use the word "of" instead of "have".
Like "that must of been really annoying" "You should of told me" etc. Like. It's absolutely wrong.
And people who should not of used "there" instead of "their" like. I should of thought they would no better ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm. | People who begin every utterance they make with "So"
People who start with, and pepper their utterances with "as I said" before they've said anything at all or most definitely not said whatever it is as it's too early in the conversation to have done so. Footballers, their managers and other sports people are particularly prone. |

| Trailers for TV programmes which consist of about a dozen different programmes being trailed in the space of a few seconds.
The current "idents" on BBC1. |

| I fully agree with all of the previous posts. I am also very irritated by the CELEBRITY culture, when so few of the people called celebrities have nothing for us to celebrate whatsoever.
I am also irritated by the HONOURS system. Why are people given knighthoods just because they are good actors? All these gongs handed out are just a waste of time. Awards in my humble opinion should only be given in exceptional circumstances, such as bravery, or long term unpaid voluntary work etc. ----------------------------------------- Gustav Mahler is the finest composer who ever lived. |

| I don't like to see the word "had" repeated - such as he had had his dinner
I know it may well be correct grammar, but the repetition irritates me.
I am also irritated when I received letters and greetings cards that make use of text abbreviations.
It is not gr8 as U 2 may agree. ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm. | And what about people who are always banging on about themselves and forcing their opinions on others - that really irritates.
I have a friend who is like that - he is constantly niggling at me for supporting the Villa instead of Birmingham City. No matter how many times I remind him that we are entitled to our personal choices - he just will not stop banging on about it. And he always has to have the last word in any discussion. He drives his wife nuts - she has to live with him. ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm. | Looks like I've bin 'ad Extending that theme like - I can write a sentence with the word "and" repeated 5 times in a row - and it makes perfect sense. Absolutely. ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm.
