Roast dead pig with apple sauce today, with spuds carrots and sprouts.

Roast lamb, roast potatoes, pointy cabbage, frozen broad beans perhaps a few roast parsnips.

Leftover lamb made into a casserole with sliced potatoes & sliced onions plus the remains of the cabbage.

Try the salmon fillets skinned, and cooked in Campbells cream of celery or cream of asparagus soup.

Chicken Kiev with curly fries, sweetcorn and peas.

Chilli for us today with basmati rice and hot rolls.

Libby cooked me a special Valentines meal for dinner tonight. A chicken dish in a spicy cider based sauce with crushed potatoes and greens.

This was accompanied by two bottles of quite superb Pilastro Primitivo Reserve 14.5% wine. I have the empty bottles and numb feeling to prove it.

Haddock & Chips with mushy peas

Got some beef dripping so, going to try that in the Actifry to make "proper" beef fat (but low fat) chips.

Wild boar and apple sausages with fried onion,spuds carrots and peas, and lashings of onion gravy.

BTW The beef dripping cooked Actifry chips were superb. That's going to be THE way we cook chips now.
