Hi all, mild here today a little drizzle this evening though.
Just written out a load of Xmas cards today..about 40.
Postage will cost more than the cards.

Quite nice here ..... just back from my errands and the sun is out.

Bucked up nicely and has been sunny all morning. Clouding up a bit again now.

Eleven degrees and cloudy but dry in Burntwood at present. Patchy sunshine and light showers later in the morning,and late afternoon. The temperature is forecast to drop steadily during the day. Still breezy but not like it was thank goodness.

Five degrees and clear blue sky in Burntwood. A fine day is forecast. The north /south divide rules again.

A bit grey and grizzly today but I don't mind. I've had fun watching a little wren foraging about in the garden. Don't see many, if any, little wrens anymore.

Nine degrees with light rain until about mid day. Temperature due to fall steadily all day. Still very windy. As jenkay said I feel so sorry for those in the flood areas. We played safe and bought a house on high ground,well away from rivers. Jut how high can flood barriers be built? A lot of blame rests with planners allowing flood plains to be built on. People covering everything with concrete or slabs doesn't help. Quite a few by us have paved drives and paved front gardens. We have two concrete ramps for the drive,with gravel up the centre,which I dug out to four feet deep and filled with rubble before adding the gravel. The front garden is gravel with assorted conifers.
