Not sure that agrees with the 'bible' account, Malcolm. Whilst they contradict each other on many things, all four 'gospels' reckon he was crucified on Friday, the eve of the sabbath (Saturday) and the tomb was found empty on 'the first day of the week' - Sunday. | It would be nice I agree if people could make more of an effort to reply to new members and take the time to get to know people. After the initial shock of meeting you first time your knowledge base is incredible and you are an incredibly nice man too.
It may improve Pum. Thanks for posting x |

| There is also a lot of confusion regarding the type of crucifiction used and how long it took to die. ----------------------------------------- Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol!

| I think as humans we try to fit an idea into our head that makes us feel right or good about ourselves.
History has always been a distorter of truth, especially with religion the cause of so much unrest.
We are not designed to be perfect though |

| Religions have not got a very good track record although , of course, they are all man made so we can't really blame a 'creator' for what they have perpetrated in the past (and present). I am 99% sure there isn't but if there is a God, I would prefer to join the opposition because He is a sadist. Look at the huge number of people who are killed and maimed by natural disasters. You'd think He would do something wouldn't you? ----------------------------------------- Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol!

| And babies killed as well.
I explored a lot of religions on my travels and the one that suites me is Hinduism in theory.
I prefer for us just to try to be nice to each other but that ain't going to happen.
My family and good friends are the most important to me now but I have met some smashing people on my life's path. I personally believe enriches you. |
