| They don't look very feral. I can't deny that cats are pretty animals.
My wife loves them. ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm. | "Here are some of my feral kittens"
Isn't a "feral" some thing on the business end of a walking stick?. I know a man who probably thinks it is!!
I have an almost lifelong dislike for moggys. It was triggered one sunny day in summer when I was about six or seven. It was a nice summers day and I was just going out of the back door and into the garden, when a loud screaming/screeching racket started in the garden next door. I rushed to the railing to see what it was and there was a moggy, trying to eat this starling that it had caught. I dashed back into the house and came back out with a small coal shovel and jumped over the fence. The cat felt the weight of the shovel first and after the second blow it pulled away from the starling. Sadly this was a total wreck in a small pool of the red stuff and feathers. So that was given the "coup of gracey", which put it out of its pain, and turned off the sound system. The cat was still hovering, but when it was hit by a flying coal shovel it made off at full speed and I never saw it again. |

So do I, and in my book one animal trying to eat another animal whilst it is still alive falls into "cruelty", |

| well let's retrace - all animals on this planet are gods creatures - I too have an adorable cat who sometimes brings me mice [which I despise] and lizards [ which I don't despise]. I have a bell on her collar which of course warns birds and gives them a fighting chance.
However the argument for me is not about 'all feral cats are evil' BUT there are too many. certainly in Australia were govts are attempting to eradicate them as they are decimating the other creatures of a smaller nature and rarer! Unfortunately feral cats bread profusely as do feral dogs and feral camels - they all need culling and thus controlling! |

| Wherever man has tampered with nature it has resulted in problems. Examples are the introduction of rabbits in Australia, grey squirrels, Asian fresh water cray fish, and mink in the UK. This skews the natural balance established over many thousands of years which leads to us having to cull them.
This is cruel to the ones we kill but kind to the animals who are saved in the process.

| Nature itself is the cruelest killer! Cats, big or small, are one of the most savage killers. It's just the way they are but when they come to the end of the life they also die in a cruel way. I am always pleased that I am an agnostic because if there is a God he is a sadist. ----------------------------------------- Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol!
