Allegedly, that there Sinita had a hand in his downfall - she found out where he kept his credit cards (tucked into the waistband of his trouser so they could be next to his heart) and blew most of his savings on a private yacht which she crashed into a reef off the southern coast of Australia and wrote off, and singing lessons that didn't work. The yacht wasn't insured so it was a total write off and Sinita's singing instructor sued her (and won) for damages done to his eardrums. The damages were paid off with the remainder of Cowell's savings thus rendering him totally brassic.
