You said a few days ago that you have porridge. ----------------------------------------- Gustav Mahler is the finest composer who ever lived. |

The Isle of Wight (not far from here) has an annual garlic festival. I once saw there square garlic. This was elephant garlic which had been grown in a square container thus restricting its growth. It was described as the garlic of the future as it packed together easily for transport. |

| Exactly pops - that's what I inferred.
We have square garlic all the time - we mince fresh garlic and freeze it in ice cube trays. Hence we can grab an easy supply of ready chopped garlic when cooking. You have to store it in a clip lock sealed plastic container though - or it stinks the freezer out. ----------------------------------------- This post may contain controversial personal opinion, humour, ironic comment or sarcasm. It all blends in when cooked. The only time I ever mince it is when we fancy mashed tuna with a very generous helping of tomato ketchup, and minced garlic ,made into sandwiches. ----------------------------------------- Gustav Mahler is the finest composer who ever lived. |

Not if you butter the bread and fold it butter side inwards before putting it in the toastie maker. It is then officially a butter toastie. You can use cheese instead but then it's a cheese toastie.
