problem is the hands are quicker than the brain, so they don't know what they are writing Sad

I quite agree Macy...because we type faster than handwriting...the brain carries on thinking this way and you try to write far too quick.  If I stop and think and write slower, I can manage to write legibly but if I scribble something off...that is what it is...scribble....even I can't understand it sometimes.!

Be good to see some examples.
You don't need a scanner - just take a photo of your writing....

Mine has always been bad, I remember doing a course away in 1960 and at the weekends when I came home, my wife had to help me decipher what I had 'scribbled' the previous week. I now put items in my diary and sometimes haven't a clue what it stands for!!

I sometimes jot things down in shorthand...I can read that back easier than some of my handwriting!!!!

I do a lot of scribbling and handwriting .... thanks to been keen on family history so I can't say mine's changed much. But yes ... I have found I'm getting less patient and scrawl it a bit.

Ah ... this sounds a bit like what I've started doing.
A sign of encroaching dementia? I make notes and leave myself instructions how to do things. I probably shouldn't have owned up to that ... it makes me sound thick.
Either that or at long last I'm trying to be a more organised person.
