reticulation is a big thing out here in OZ, in fact the only thing really as we need to use so much water to keep the grass green and the flowers and  other plants growing. Not sure if you have it  in UK but it refers to a just below ground of plastic tubing with pop up nozzles that can be activated automatically from a meter on the wall and thus set off sprinkles at various times of the day. Having purchased an old property it is festooned with  reticulation but no 'mud map' to go with it so I am discovering it serendipitously bit by bit week by week and it  is bloodly tiring if not amusing. We use no mains water and have two wells sunk to the water level which pump up our needs. I am drawing my own mud map as I go.

We are having all sorts of altercations here with regard to bottling aquifer water for export with little or no feedback in terms of economics for the local community.
