After a dull and damp start, frequent showers will develop across the region. These showers will be slow moving, bringing prolonged spells of heavy rain and thunder in places. Remaining mostly cloudy throughout..

A fairly cloudy, perhaps misty start already with showery rain in places. Some bright or sunny intervals during the day, but further showers will develop, these probably heaviest towards Cheshire.

Early mist and hill fog will quickly lift to give a bright start with sunny spells. However, further slow moving showers will develop for many, with the heaviest most likely to be further south towards Cheshire.

Any early morning mist will soon clear after sunrise. Another day of sunny spells and heavy, locally thundery showers will then follow. The showers will be slow moving and some localised surface water flooding is possible..

A dry start for some this morning, although heavy, thundery downpours may develop across southern parts through the day. In between the showers there will be some sunny spells, with western parts seeing the best of the sunshine.
