It will be a fine start to the day with plenty of sunshine allowing it to become very warm for many. This will trigger a few isolated heavy showers in the afternoon with a risk of thunder, particularly across Cumbria.

| Twenty four degrees and cloudless in Wistanton Cheshire. We are booked into Warners at Alvaston Hall for another short break. It is one of our favourite holidays. Plenty to do,great entertainment and delicious food. | Good Morning anyone.....
After a largely bright start, Tuesday will see some very warm sunshine. Showers will develop though and these will be heavy in places with possible torrential downpours, hail and thunder. It will feel humid into the evening too.

It'll be a mostly fine, warm day with sunny spells, although cloudier and murkier near the coast, particularly in the morning. Some showers, perhaps heavy, are likely to develop in places during the afternoon..

| It's hot and icky!
Had rain last night but no thunderstorms.
It's years since I went to Jodrell Bank.
they had just started their Arboretum then ... I imagine it's really come along now. |

A cloudy start for some but it will brighten up to leave a warm day with sunny spells and patchy cloud. Some isolated showers may develop but these will only affect some, most places will be staying dry..
