I know exactly how you feel, owdbilly! I sometimes sit and listen to Annie Lennox singing "Into the West". It seems appropriate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKRCe0tXyHo

Nothing silly in thinking that at all ... I've got a photo of my mum and dad when they were young and courting. I too, often look at it and hope they found each other on 'the other' side and that they're now together.
My mum remarried . and still choose to have her ashes scattered with her first love, my dad.

It is appropriate, I have that song as one to be played at my funeral.

So do I Judd. It's very moving and fits with any religious convictions.

Personally we don't do religion of any type. I have asked for the adagio from Mahler's symphony number 5 to be played at my cremation, it was used as the theme music in Death in Venice, and 'Er Indoors want stardust by Nat King Cole.
All the best to the two old' uns. The ex president of our bowls club was a wonderful person too, he played and won his last league game of crown green bowls at 96 years of age.

My choices would be... Gregorio Allegri - Miserere Mei Deus
